Do you want to buy a new sofa? How to start? And how to resist the temptation of the deal!!
The time has come to purchase a new sofa. Good!
Where do we start? Where do we go? Simple! We all have a friend or neighbor who has a sofa at home. Get inspired and see its impact in the room, the style and context of the house, its use, the number of people that welcomes the house and the room. Evaluate its chaise longue, or the relax mechanism, evaluate if it has very high or extremely low backrests, if it is in feather or rubber or a mixture of the two.
Very well, start from here. First get an idea of which sofa to buy because you have to initially “exclude” an infinite number of sofas, you have to skim dozens of products and end up with a package of some models and solutions to evaluate at a later time, based on some reflections and information that you will read below.
You already know it but I confirm it, the sofa must be tried, even if you don’t try exactly the one you have chosen, try at least one similar product! You may also have thought, “These days I am buying a lot of things on the internet, I will also buy the sofas on the internet, I am sure I can save a lot of money…”
Our advice is this, it’s not the same as buying an item of clothing or something like that, you probably know someone who bought a sofa over the internet… ask them if they were happy with it.
A sofa is an object that lasts a long time, has a significant economic value and therefore we think it is worth getting good advice and having a clear idea of what you are buying to avoid making mistakes. Most of the time, buying cheap is not a good deal.
So we advise you to use the Internet to get as much information as possible, not only from manufacturers and sellers, but also from forums and expert opinions. You should be able to distinguish between expert opinions and the more common ones, which are often manipulated by the companies themselves to bring you to their brand.
After getting the necessary information, choose the most suitable store for you and visit it, to let them know your needs. If you’re taken care of by a professional salesperson, you’ll find that there are far more options than you can imagine.
There are hundreds of sofa manufacturers throughout the country and they produce sofas of all kinds. We advise you never to make quick decisions, it is important to think carefully about the final choice, not to be weak in the face of the deal, not to give in to the seller who is pressing you with the special offer that ends at the end of the day.
Meditate, take your time, ask your dealer, maybe it’s the same one you’re dealing with the kitchen, or where you bought the furniture for your home a few years before, visit the shop where a friend of yours bought it or simply the shop close to home.
Ask, inform yourself, freely tell him your needs and then buy wherever you want.
You’ll find that not all sofas are the same. You will find that not all offers are outright deal. You will find that getting 50% or 70% or 30% changes little, the percentage discount obtained does not improve your purchase.
Evaluate how much you pay after all discounts —-> and what you buy!
If you buy a product actually on offer, well, but often the very clear and declared “formulas” of the 50-60-70% offer are just pre-packaged slogans to give you (in the end) a product of a certain value, at its actual price. Marketing has the task of embroidering on that fateful 50-60-70% less, which smacks of a bargain, but which is actually just a trick.
Nothing illegal, of course, but it has nothing to do with the actual value of the product, it’s just a marketing trick.
Before it cost 4 and now it costs 2! But where did the first 4 come from? but first when? Who bought it at 4? If in the end everyone buys it for 2 and that’s it … what does the 4 mean? It is not its value! it was not and never will be its actual value. It’s not even a reference value to evaluate other products at 4, you have to compare it only with products that cost (and are worth) 2!!
In furniture stores, in addition to an informed and verifiable purchase, there can really be a real deal around the corner. Sometimes it happens that on the sofas in the exhibition – generally only on those – there is a real discount of 50%, because the renewal of the exhibition is often also sponsored by the companies, as well as naturally by the retailer itself.
But it is the only plausible case, everything else is the result of an excellent marketing operation and nothing else. Nothing to do with real quality, nothing to do with real deal, nothing to do with real comfort, nothing to do with product warranties, nothing to do with durability…
Evaluate the product and evaluate the price you pay NOT THE DISCOUNT FORMULAS!!
Of course, if your choice falls on a Confortline product, it will be a great satisfaction for us and a source of pride.
